Agile Ceremonies
Our UX design process supports an agile development environment, my role is to ensure seamless integration of user experience into the overall product development. Here's how I facilitate the participation of UX designers in agile ceremonies:

Sprint Planning:
I collaborate with the UX designers, product owner, and development team to ensure a clear understanding of user requirements. I facilitate discussions to prioritize design tasks and establish design goals for the upcoming sprint.
Daily Stand-up:
We hold daily stand-up meetings, where UX designers provide updates on their design tasks. I address any challenges they face, encourage collaboration with developers, and ensure that design and development activities are aligned.
Backlog Refinement:
I actively engage in backlog refinement sessions to review and clarify user stories. I provide guidance to the UX designers, contribute design insights, and facilitate discussions to estimate the effort required for design-related tasks.
Sprint Review:
I oversee the sprint review process, where UX designers showcase completed design work to stakeholders. I actively gather feedback and ensure that it is appropriately addressed in subsequent iterations, emphasizing the importance of user needs and business goals.

Sprint Retrospective:
I facilitate the sprint retrospective meetings, allowing UX designers to reflect on the design process and identify areas for improvement. I encourage them to provide insights, share feedback on design practices, and suggest adjustments to enhance the UX design workflow.
Retrospectives and reflections allow us to codify what we’ve learned from our experiences, to document mistakes and avoid future ones. I run a bi-annual retro to better understand my teams Design System needs.
Backlog Refinement:
I actively engage in backlog refinement sessions to review and clarify user stories. I provide guidance to the UX designers, contribute design insights, and facilitate discussions to estimate the effort required for design-related tasks.

User Testing and Research:
Our UX designers partner with UXR in conducting user testing and research activities prior to deliver phase. I collaborate with the team to define research goals,  and ensure that the insights gained inform design decisions effectively.

Overall, my focus is to foster a collaborative and iterative environment where UX designers actively participate in agile ceremonies. I provide support, guidance, and encourage the integration of user-centric design practices into the development workflow, ultimately leading to the creation of exceptional user experiences.
