Daisy Design System
OVERVIEW
The Daisy Design System was created as a resource for the Advisor Center tool platform. Currently it documents over 150 interactive elements. Daisy also includes 15+ templates of PDF Advisor Reports, which serve as portfolio summaries for clients.

Daisy Design System aims to improve product value and user experience:
•Define core elements of Design System, specifying UX, visual, as well as documenting behaviors and usage guidelines.
•Drive consistency across tools/product
•Increased collaboration and knowledge sharing amongst design, product and engineering.
ROLE
DESIGN LEAD:
Scoping
Design Strategy
Interaction, Visual design
Prototyping & Testing
We use a simplified version of the Atomic Design methodology, which we have adapted
to suit our design process and our team culture.

The main difference is the the names of sections:
element vs. atom, combination vs. molecules...etc.
WHY WE BUILT IT
The Daisy Design System will include the resources to create user interfaces consistent with DDTech principles, design language, and best practices. Rather than focusing on pixels, developers can focus on application logic, while designers can focus on user experience, interactions, and flows.
NEXT STEPS
Daisy documents components as in the live product. Next revision will be to incorporate best practice findings from site audit and guidance for creating engineering component repository.
